Household Fun

Here in Hawaii the Household is on FIRE!

We always have a lot of fun hanging out with each other.

I am so grateful to have such amazing friends.

Anytime there is a group of believers together you can expect a jam session to occur. 

After fellowship on Sundays we love to hang out at the Stricklands house. We are definitely living the book of Acts by following in the apostles' doctrine, fellowship and breaking bread, as well as prayer.

Basically, we just like to be TOGETHER.

We go to Lanikai beach together. 

We hike together.

We do yoga together.

We jump in tide pools together.

We sing karaoke to Frank Sinatra together.

We make stars in the sand after watching fireworks together.

We play the ukulele together.

We watch sunrises together.

We surf at Waikiki together.

We watch sunsets at Tantalus Lookout together. 

We rejoice when we see rainbows together.

We go to the Dole Plantation together.

We eat Dole Whip together.

 We play more ukulele at Tantalus Lookout together. 

We eat pie on Pi Day at 9:34am together.

We take jumping pictures together.

We take pictures with flowers in our hair.

We eat sushi and poke while watching a rugby game together.

We go out to eat after fellowship together.

We love to greet people at the airport together.

My heart is so full of LOVE for these amazing people!!!

Hawaii Household

One of my spiritual goals while living in Hawaii was to coordinate a Bible Study Group. 

Jessica and I talked with Uncle Sean who told us that he and Aunty Mary 

have been praying for a Bible Study on the east side of the island for years. 

Their prayers were answered when Jessica and I volunteered to assist and coordinate it together. 

Uncle Sean said we could start at the end of February to have enough time to plan and prepare. 

However, we were too eager to wait, so on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 

we had our first Bible Study Group at Whole Foods Grocery Store in Kailua.

The topic of my teaching for the first Bible Study was the Law of Believing: Faith vs. Fear.

Most of the people who attend our Bible Study are military personnel; mostly from Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base where Lucas and Jessica are stationed. 

Who am I?
I am a light to the world.
I reconcile people to God.
I am an ambassador for Christ.
I am a vital member of the Body of Christ.
My life makes a difference!

Foundational Class on The Way of Abundance and Power

Another spiritual goal that I had was to undershepherd at least one person through the 

Foundational Class while living in Hawaii. Well my Heavenly Father decided to go above

and beyond my goal and I was given the privilege of coordinating the Foundational Class!

We had three new students from the East Side Bible Study Group, three new students from the Waikiki Bible Study Group, and two new students from fellowship. Most of the students, new and graduates, in this class were ages 19-25!

to help people get excited to learn about God's matchless Word!

Intermediate Class on The Way of Abundance and Power

I decided to take the Advanced Class during the summer of 2015. God has 

blessed me with the opportunity to not only take the Foundational Class, but also 

the Intermediate Class in succession to help me prepare for the Advanced Class.

Hawaii Life

God desires for us to live an Ephesians 3:20 life. 

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. 

God went above and beyond what I could ask or think when He blessed me with the opportunity to live at Lucas and Jessica's house in Kailua, HI.

After spending a month visiting with family during the holidays, 

I packed my bags and headed for Hawaii. 

On Tuesday January 13, 2015 Jessica and I flew from Norfolk, Virginia to Honolulu, HI. 

   

We were greeted at the airport by the Hawaii Household 

and immediately felt the love of these amazing people. 

When we arrived at Jessica's house, we were greeted by Kilo who was 

so happy to see us, he was even smiling!

Jessica prepared her guest room for me where I would be staying for 

the next couple of months. Immediately I felt right at home. 

When we trust in God to lead our paths, we will not be disappointed. 

Here begins my adventures in Hawaii.
